During my time at WOUB, the NPR station in Athens OH, I had the opportunity to work with regional and national touring acts. This interview was recorded with Bela Fleck shortly after he won a couple Grammys. This part of his Throw Down Your Heart tour, which was aimed at showcasing the traditional music of Africa and finding the roots of the banjo. In this interview, Fleck discusses his trips through Africa, his tour, and performs some new material.
